Quality Education

The future jobs and current education

Education as a key for all the SDGs – break the cycle of poverty, reduce inequalities and reach gender equality, it empowers people to have a healthy lifestyle and fosters tolerance towards more inclusive societies. The education with high quality is the one adopted to real-life needs.

In real life, technological advances are changing the demands of the labor market and the educational requirements. Many of the AI-based technologies have already replaced human expertise. The figures below show that existing algorithms already encroach on significant portions of human capabilities, and that is only the beginning of the impact:

Why business should invest in education?

The answer is a talented pool of future experts and employees. First, education addresses the mismatch between skills of the available workforce and job vacancies, which is a key problem in many markets. Second, investing in education is a source of innovation and facilitates access to new markets. Investing in the quality education of the local communities and creating life-long learning opportunities is comparable to investment in stocks.

How The Distrikt becomes a hub of quality education and life-long learning?

Harnessing technology for education

We develop ICT-based cost-effective education products and services that eliminate barriers to access and improve the quality of learning. One of these solutions is provided by The Distrikt-based startup English Bento. It a highly interactive educational application for students that train English fluency skills, and for teachers to keep track of student’s progress. English Bento is a huge opportunity for everyone to learn English, the multicultural communication language.

Life-long learning opportunities

Provide employees with continuous opportunities to improve their (job) skills for their current and future employment. Innovative technologies, new project management approaches, or communication skills, there are always learning and experience exchange platforms in The Distrikt.

Opening doors wide for the students and researchers

We establish relationships with government entities and higher education institutions to improve education curricula to better align with business needs. Meanwhile, we create programs such as internships, work-study that give students earlier access to the corporate environment and for boosting scientific research. As one of the biggest employees in Gyumri, we have most of our team members as graduates of the local universities.

Environmental education and education for sustainable development

Whatever we create now in The Distrikt we want to be used and preserved by the future generations. That is why to want to have responsible, aware, and concerned children to be connected to their communities, preserve nature, and the built environment. In collaboration with the Armenian Tree Project (ATP), The Distrikt will host Eco Club Environmental Education center. Eco Club’s interactive programs will be free and accessible for the children. The Eco Club will be linked to The Distrikt’s 10,000 tree-planting Project, yet another partnership with the ATP.

Building the community of future

The whole concept behind The Distrikt is improving the local community. By contributing to the sustainable development of Gyumri – job opportunities, clean environment, access to housing, clean water, and food, we make sure that children can have quality education in the city. Right now, many of them are struggling from poverty. How can a child have an access to quality education while living in a Domik?

Technology has rapidly changed every facet of our society, including the education industry. Today students grow up with internet-connected devices at home and in the classroom, which changes the way they learn. Future education technology will transform learning by giving teachers and students a variety of new tools to work with.
